AÚN / STILL - por / by David Lethei

STILL

The always one.
The never one.
This piece of ocean who offered his world to you,
to make one of our own.

The yester-one.
Your secret.
That mistery who still evokes the intense smell of your back
starry as the firmament.

This spectre,
who pays you a visit at nights.
The one who got late to the audience,
hurting you with his silence.

Still walks around sideways.
Still feels you above twinkling.
Still aches ´cause your departure.

To this moon still
fly around hummingbirds,
when reading your poems.

To this mirror still
there´s no touching body
that doesn´t brings yours.

To this soul still
there´s no kiss that soothes
if doesn´t come from your lips.

And even though it tries, tries and tries, to get lost in other bed sheets
this skin still, refuses if it´s not you
who spin them, who fills them, who rules over my inwards
you, delicious and painfully you.

To this shadow still
it bleeds how practical you were,
when dividing the kingdom.

To this temple still
it sprouts a heaven,
when remembering you.
